The brass shines up beautifully. Just as described. No rocks or pebbles in the the brass. Checked the entire box and found only one piece I personally wouldn't reload. The rest are in great shape. Before we sell any of it we run it through our initial prep which consists of screening rocks and other debris, and removing grass and weeds. The reason we do this is we have been on the receiving end of brass that we weren't happy with; that's one reason we started Roberts and Son Brass. If we wouldn't be happy to buy the brass ourselves, then we won't sell it to you.
Was this answer helpful? We take random samples during processing and check the head stamp. We then post what we have at that time. Primarily LC means we are seeing almost all LC cases in our checks. There will be some other cases mixed in from time to time but it is usually pretty consistent. They have brass in 55 gallon barrels. They are out of Colorado, Maybe military brass?
I think used brass should be worth half of what new brass cost, but used brass varies from caliber to caliber, time of year and region to region. Before I got into reloading I picked up all of the brass I could scavenge at the gravel pits that people let there after they were done shooting and I bought some off the local hunting forum at a decent price.
