Is it possible to overtrain calves if you train them with sets 4 times a week??? I also like doing the DC calf on treadmill method when you set the treadmill on a really high incline and walk on your toes.
Thats pure torture. Tags: None. Of course it is, its a muscle just like your bis and tris. Comment Post Cancel. You're calves can take it, but I don't think you can balls to the walls intensity every day.
You often see fat people with huge calves, why? Ballet dancers with good calves, up on their toes again every day. Definitely need to treat them differently to bi's and tri's. Train em everyday. It will help. I went Camp Crystal Lake when I was younger. Training Log. I wouldn't train them more than 3 days a week Like all true bodybuilders I get my supplements from the manufacturer instead of a marketing company I get my supplements at www. For people with average to below average calves 2 or 3 times a week is optimal. I believe the only muscles that can be trained everyday and still get good results are abs and forearms.

Most likely due to their body being fat and their calves are just being consistent with the rest of their body. Anyway, I have tried training them 4 times per week but gotten better results and pumps only doing it 2x per week. I also noticed they must not have been able to properly recover with 4x method because I wasn't able to feel the stretching and contraction with each rep as well I was with the 2x route.
I don't know why they'd be any different than any other muscle group. I also notice when I train them, I can't do much else for a day or two or else they cramp up. Inactivity is the killer and, remember, it's never too late. Your probably gonna laugh when I tell you what made my calves grow But it's the truth for what worked for me. Walking constantly on my tippy toes! I have pic on pro for proof.
But anyways I did this all day everyday, yes not gonna lie I did look funny but the results were well worth it. I wouldn't even wear shorts couple years ago because they were small and embarassing. Now its not an issue and litterally thats all I really did.
I didn't really train them with weights, just my own bodyweight. Sometimes I would throw a session of calves but mostly just walking on my toes. Originally Posted by sassy Originally Posted by meNNace. Originally Posted by desibaba.
